A Faith Family Learning to Trust God More

We are a community of people who are in process. We have imperfect messy lives, but we are pursuing and experiencing a transforming relationship with Jesus and with each other. Our one goal is to lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus. We try to do this with every interaction we have - whether on Sunday mornings at our service, or at any of our many ministries and outreaches. Everybody is welcome here, whatever your story, your questions, doubts or struggles. We’re all about doing life together in community, being intentional about our growth as people and serving one another and our community along the way.

Our Core values

As a faith family we make every attempt to keep things simple.  Our core values are our way of reminding each other the pathways to a growing relationship with Jesus and each other.

  • know

To tenderly encourage one another to personally and fully know God.

John 17:3 This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and the One You have sent—Jesus Christ.

  • belong

To faithfully treasure my church family by protecting unity and loving without favoritism or prejudice, so that my church is a safe place to belong.

John 13:34-35 “I give you a new commandment: love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another. By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

  • Contribute

To generously contribute in church family responsibilities by offering my time, resources, and talents.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His creation—created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them.

  • witness

To actively witness through word and lifestyle to our community, the North Country, our nation and the world.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

  • surrender

To trust God more in humble surrender to the Holy Spirit as He seeks to conform me to God's perfect will for my life and church.

Psalms 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Our History & Beliefs

Our church began in 1980 out of the Southern Baptist outreach to the Winter Olympics here in our village,  From the beginning a small group of believers recognized the unique opportunity they had to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others living in or visiting this mountain community from all over the world.

Our church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist Convention of New York, and the Adirondack Baptist Association.   We adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message.
