We are a casual church that reflects life in the Adirondacks. Whether you are vacationing, new to the area or desiring to reconnect with church life, feel free to come as you are. Sunday mornings start at 9 with Bible studies for all ages. Our worship service begins at 10:15, where you will find a mix of hymns and contemporary music. We provide kid's church and childcare during the service for infants through age five.
The building is closed, but the church is opened. Every Sunday, we go live on YouTube, and you can join us from where your devices will connect you. We have even created a worship playlist for the morning. It will take about 15minutes. It includes the livestream and a closing song. Click here.
Along with our Sunday livestream, we are offering a weekly Zoom meeting where we can connect and catchup with each other. It is scheduled for Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. Click here to join. This is a fellowship gathering where Pastor Jim can answer questions and you can share with each other your experience, needs and concerns during the COVID-19 experience. Of course these are not meant to replace a personal conversation with Pastor Jim. If you desire to speak with him can be reached by phone at 518-523-2008 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
These are the instructions to use Zoom meetings. You will have the choice of video or audio. For vdeo if you do not already have Zoom on your device, please allow 10-15 minutes the first time you join as you will need to download the “Zoom” application.

The word for 2020 is magnify. The idea springs from Mary’s words in Luke 1:46 …"My soul magnifies the Lord.” Mary saw that her obedience to the Lord allowed her life to magnify His Glory. Lake Placid Baptist is taking on the challenge to magnify found in Psalm 34::3 “ Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!”
Most weekends, visitors choose to worship with our church family as a part of their time in Lake Placid. In our foyer are maps where they pin the communities they call home. In this way, we have a visual reminder of how God brings the world to our village. We would love for you to come and mark the community you call home.
